Blog of the week

Autumn Term

1st December

We are absolutely loving Toby French's blog posts at the moment! He is a historian but teachers of all subjects will appreciate the simplicity and consistency of his approach. The Cornell system is worth checking out, as is his post on his Y11 lesson.

A very short, no frills blog that tells it like it is. Refreshing!

This week's blog of the week comes from headguruteacher AKA Head teacher Tom Sherrington.

In this post he talks about behaviour management, singing the praises of Bill Rogers and includes links to other videos and his own reflections. Have a look at some of the other posts- Tom writes with authority but also self-deprecating wit.

David Didau (aka The Learning Spy) speaks his mind with passion and challenges commonly received wisdom on teaching and learning. As we make our seating plans on Mint it is well-worth giving this a read, especially as it is so easy to move them around.

A blog is a regularly updated website, usually written by one person. Some are like online diaries, some are like editorials and other are collections of ideas. As advertised CL will release the blog of the week every Thursday.

This week some fantastic ideas, nicely presented for you to just click through and take a look.

A really exciting blog of the week. This is currently blowing teachers' minds this week on Twitter.

This comes from Ben Newmark @bennewmark. His school is rolling out a verbal feedback policy and he explains how it works and the huge impact that it has made on student's progress AND teacher work load.
